The Bachelor of Arts in Mathematic provides students breadth and depth through an integrated approach to the study of mathematics. The program prepares students for either an immediate career, especially teaching, or graduate school.
A decision to undertake the Mathematics major should be made no later than the beginning of the sophomore year if the program is to be completed in four years. Students entering as Mathematics majors should take MATH 151 Calculus I as soon as possible.
Department of Mathematics and Information aims to create superior professionals in mathematics and information coping with the requirement in a modern society by combining and teaching advanced mathematics and its applications on the basis of mathematics, and a foundation for natural science and applied engineering.
All the students profoundly learn basic mathematics and mathematic methods using mathematics and computers directly used in application areas such as finance, insurance and telecommunication industry.
